I have been using Blueground consecutively for the last five years, one of their earliest clients.. When they first started up in Dubai, they had a handful of employees, a small number of apartment, and the overall customer experience was incredible. Any maintenance issues were addressed quickly, the fees were very straightforward, and the team was very helpful.
Fast forward to today, where they have grown exponentially throughout Dubai and around the globe. The level of customer service has dropped drastically, it's almost an after thought, first and foremost for them is profit over customer experience. They have so many hidden fees at time of booking, you are paying way more than you expect when you start you search for an apartment. Booking Fees, Tourism Fees, Cleaning Fees, etc, it's ridiculous, plus the deposit.. Frankly it's not worth it. You book an apartment for an expected price, and you wind up paying an additional 70%-100% more when you factor in the cost of all the associated surcharges, fees, and deposit.. And I'm sorry, you expect a deposit upfront, but you take 30-35 days to return the same deposit and absolutely no follow up or communication. You will chase to get a customer booking, but when it comes time to clear up the deposit the urgency is zero.
As I read the reviews, it's really frustrating, the message from Blueground is all the same, thank you for the feedback, but it appears nothing really changes..
Like I said, Blueground used to be incredible, but it's now just a corporate behemoth laser focused on profit and less on the customer experience.
